Family Photo

After several family photo blunders while trying to capture a smile on all of our faces we tired to make other faces… here are our funny ‘outtakes’

No family photo this time… I guess we’ll hold out for a snow photo.

Angler Fish

For Halloween I was an angler fish!  (You know the deep sea fish with the big teeth from Nemo… needless to say we got a lot of ‘and what are you?’ questions this year but he loved it)

My school had a party… it was great…

although the obstacle course with this helmet was a bit tricky.

Tricker treating was a blast… because I am so big Mama said I could have 4 pieces right away! 

Pumpkin Patch

We had some Fall fun at a local pumpkin patch.  I went for a horse ride….

a roll in the hay…

and a corn maze!

(All throughout the corn maze Myron kept pointing, look corn mama… and it was a huge maze!)

Rain!

It rains hard here in Indiana!

And when it does we get thunder, lighting, and a front yard river!

Resent Chuckles…

Myron: “Mama, was I home birthf or at hospital?”

Myron: “Mama, I guess Indiana is not all that great… when do we move to Hawaii?”

Writing My Name

Letters and numbers are not the favorite things but I can now write my name from memory!

I know a ‘little’ n goes at the end but I like to write the capital N better.

How to pick up leaves

A yard full of trees = a yard full on leaves in the Fall.

Luckily we have a handy dandy leaf trailer!

New Road

The road into our neighborhood has a hill!  (or rather a big dip) It’s the biggest hill I have concurred on my bike to date!

Indiana Life

So far my Indiana life includes a new house, a new school, and lots of new friends. 

It’s good to know it also includes a few familiar things, like walks with Nana….

and yummy bread from Jenna!

Unpacking

We’ve been unpacking for while now… on a random whim Myron decided to help unpack, carefully taking the paper off of each glass… ‘how sweet’ I thought…

Only later do I discover his real motive was to secretly fill the laundry room with paper…

before he was done… the laundry room was filled… the garage floor was covered and ‘yellow’ bathroom was filled with paper above his head… I guess a lot of paper = a lot of mischief

The BIG Move

As most of you know, we made the big move to Indiana.  I am sorry to everyone we didn’t get to say goodbye to but the last few weeks proved to be challenging. We’ll be back soon and will pass around the hugs then.

The big move started with a huge semi truck!  They made me an honorary mover (I guess the rookies are always in red).

They packed up our home in no time and then we got to play in an empty house – it was awesome!

Then we hopped on a plane (or rather clumsily moved with our 12 bags through the airport and cried when we had to leave Jenna, Carline, and Lucy).

The pilot seems to know this was a special flight for me and let me play in the cockpit for a long time!  I must have pushed 20 buttons and pulled all the levers!

Then we got to play in another empty house!  I don’t know why Mama says moving is stressful… I think it is fun!

Then the big rig came to our home in Indiana and they brought all my toys!

So far, the best part of Indiana – bike riding!  Mama said I can ride my bike as much as I want in the driveway.  And I have everyday since our arrival!

Prickly Pear

My first prickly pear (cactus fruit).  We found two on our walk to Trader Joes, one with prickles and one without!  I wasn’t brave enough to eat them but I enjoyed cutting them open.

Carmel

Jenna, Jon, Caroline and Lucy shared a family beach home in Carmel with us this weekend – it was amazing!

Between beach runs, rock climbing, kite flying, baths and great friends – this place had it all!

Space Shuttle

Today we saw a space shuttle!  It was on top of a 747 on it’s way to a museum in LA.  This is it’s last flight.

(And yes, that is my son in pig tails – he wanted ‘fancy’ hair today)

Papa and Grandma

Papa and Grandma are in CA

and I love it! I introduced Papa to green food… and crazy long straws… no really… I mean crazy long straws.

Grandma tried her first wine tasting.

And I picked out new ‘fast’ shoes.

They are really fast!

We ended out time together with a birthday wish for all the birthday’s we’ve missed this year.

Being Born

Myron: “Mama tell you about how I was born”

Mama: “Okay, it was a cold winter day in Wisconsin…” (I started our routine story about the day he was born)

Myron: “No not that story… Did they cut me out and sew you back up or did you push me out?”

Mama: (Pause… minor internal freak-out) “I pushed you out honey”

Myron: “oh, okay”

Airplane Play

Myron: “This is the Mama Airplane… and she’s the baby airplane”

Myron: “Time for baby to nurse” (and moves the baby airplane under the mama airplanes wing)
