Chilly Muir Sunday

The heat was rising in Sacramento so we decided to head to the beach!  The only problem… the beach did not have the same heat wave. It was therefore, a chilly beach day… but fun just the same.

The day included a little Frisbee…

a little climbing…

and I found a way to say warm….

Leaving was drag… but I loved the ride…

Davis Picnic Day

Oh yeah, I was excited for picnic day… booths that give you candy… a parade… goat milking… what more could a boy ask for.

Look here comes the fire trucks!

And they parked in front of us… so exciting!

Did I mention goat milking!  We waited in line for an hour… but so worth it!  I loved it!

We ended picnic day with a little cattle lassoing and straw climbing.  I lassoed myself three times… but don’t worry I finally caught that crafty calf…

Thursday Mornings with a 4-year-old boy

Each Thursday Mama stays home from work and we have all morning together… I love it!  Here is some of our fun from this morning….

Myron (crawls into bed to cuddle): Mama, I love you too much.

(20 minutes later)

Making blueberries pancakes with Mama.

(to the tune of the hokey pokey)… you put the blueberries in… you put the blueberries in and you mix ‘em all up…

(20 minutes later)

Mama: Myron did you just turn on the water to get mama out of the shower?

Myron (with a grin): Yeap, and it worked!

(20 minutes later)

Some fantastic tree climbing – oh how Mama loves our Thursday mornings too!

Lazy Sunday

Dada is back from Spain… and we had a wonderful lazy Sunday with a backyard picnic, gardening, and a long nap.

New Coffee Shop

Things I love about CA… it is always beautiful outside, we can walk to almost everything we need, and a new yummy coffee shop just opened up a few blocks away from our home.

Things I don’t love about CA… that we have to walk over this (8 lane freeway) to get to it.

Hot Lava Cake

Last week (while Dada was in Spain) Mama, Mary and I went to the Press (Mama’s new favorite restaurant).  I was the most amazing little boy, I sat through 2 hours of grown-up talk, played nicely at the table, and even told a story or two of my own.  My reward… Hot Lava Cake… totally worth it!

Goodbye Party

My good friend Henry (and his Mama, Dada, and sisters) are moving.  To celebrate they had a party with cake!  

I will miss my good buddy Henry.

The Many Faces of Myron

On Easter Sunday Mama and Dada tried to have a date… and they took me along… they called it ‘creative dating’.  The restaurant part was a dud… but when we picked up dessert I was a much better kid.  Mama calls this game… the many faces of Myron.

Egg Hunting

This year I was ready for the egg hunt.  I waited and than I ran… getting as many eggs as my little basket could hold. It was raining… but I didn’t care… I was also very brave with the Easter Bunny this year.  I even smiled to get my extra egg. And oh the candy… yum!

Dance Show

Myron is enjoying his dance class and we often play 'dance show' with the living room curtains. Here is his first 'dance show'... I swear he had pants on when he went behind the curtain... one of those classic child moments caught on film.

Aerospace

Rocket park… rock climbing.. time with Dada… need I say more.  It was a wonderful Saturday.
