Excited to Start Kindergarten!
Start of the day:
End of the day:
First Day of Kindergarten
August 14th was my first day of kindergarten! I was excited! (video to come)
Mama said my backpack was bigger than me, but I loved it.
The day started with some waiting (we were early) but I found a way to fill my time – drawing!
Cousins Are Awesome!
Cousin Julie, David, Erin and Jared came to visit us in Indiana – I loved it!
We did so many fun things together. We played in the pool, went to the park, did a little rock climbing…
and swam in our clothes! And we were hosed off in our clothes too! We did some early morning pea picking, a little cuddle time, and
some sand play :SWe ended thier visit with some blueberry picking. Thank you for the great visit – come back soon!

Papa and Grandma in Indiana
Papa and Grandma drove back to Indiana with us! During their visit we discovered blueberry picking just 1 mile from our house.
We took Papa and Grandma to the farmers market.
And while they were here, I decided I didn’t need training wheels any more. Dada removed them and I was off!
I really liked having Papa and Grandma here. I missed them terribly when they left.
MN for the 4th
Minnesota here we come!
No we didn’t walk there but we drove and enjoyed a little hike along the way.
I drew everything I saw along the way and was eager to show Papa and Grandma when we arrived.
When we arrived at the lake, I was literally a fish in the water. (Okay an Orka, not a fish;)
One of the trip highlights… fishing! Uncle Al took me fishing… “real fishing” and we caught dinner!
I loved watching him filet the fish… I asked Mama to take pictures of every fish he fileted (the most well documented fish filet ever)
I had my first tube ride and used my first set of training skis.
I ended the trip by finding a nice juicy strawberry in the garden.
New Pool and Summer Squirts
To ‘beat the heat’ this summer we have a new kiddy pool and Myron has his first set of water squirters!

Last Day of Preschool
Today was my last day of preschool. I started with a little science…
Then some math…
And a little walk through our classroom garden.
We ended the day with a classroom picnic and Mama came too! It’s been great going to preschool in the same building as Mama but like all kids, I too have to grow up.
Look out kindergarten – here I come!
A good idea gone bad…
Good idea: Let your child play with some of the Pizza dough while you make lunch. He’ll have fun and you can prepare everything in peace.
Bab idea: Never ever leave a 5 year old with a pile of dough and water outside unsupervised. He’ll turn into a “dough monster” and cover his body, the trees, the sidewalk, and you with dough… 10 minutes of fun… 40 minutes of clean up.. and the end result is burnt pizza.
Behold the dough monster…

The Indy Zoo
Penguins are so cool.
"He licked my finger”
"Hey Mama, the Giraffe is named AJ, just like you!”
They have a baby elephant, a Tiger, and Cheetahs!
We ended our day with a visit to the butterfly garden but sadly not a one landed on my finger (even when I waited a lot time :(

YMCA Camp
This summer I went to my first full day camp. My favorite part was archery!
He was really good. Better than Dada at shooting the arrow.
The boys also enjoyed the obstacle course. Yes, boys plural, Dada did it too!
