“It’s that time”
Myron ran into the living room…
Myron: “It’s that time Mama”… “It’s that time”
Here was very excited! I wasn’t sure what all the excitement was about but I played along…
Mama: “It’s time for what honey?”
Myron: “You know, that time after the storm when everything is more beautiful…look”
(Heart melt… I love this kid)
Feminism at it’s finest
We pride ourselves are teaching Myron that girls can do everything boys can we have talked about how it used to be when girls couldn’t go to school or vote. Clearly he believes girls can do anything (and should).
We had a sewage leak under the house (in the crawl space). Dada Myron was under the house cleaning it. When I told Myron what Dada was doing he replied:
“Ewww, gross. When I grow up my wife is going to do that, not me.”
I guess you can’t choose when equal rights are applied ;)
Goodbye Kindergarten
Myron finished his first year of school with a smile.
Thank you for a memorable year Mrs. Allen.
Oh yes, hot dogs and soda – a special day!
I love what this says about Myron - the games he excelled at during field day were carry the egg and battle ship. The object of battle ship is throw the ball to knock down the other team’s pins. Clearly Myron plays with a defensive mind. Forget throwing the ball, just hold it and protect the pin!
We learned a lot about our little man this year. He is clearly a rule follower and enjoys the quieter side of things. His school favorites were brain break time and art. He does not like computer time and during reading time he has mastered the art of pretending to read. He likes journaling as long as it includes picture drawing. What will Frist Grade hold for our little wonder?
Mud Monster
Time to plant the garden. Myron was transformed into a Mud Monster and loved it. For over an hour we sloped in the mud. The real fun for Mama came when it was time to hose him down!
Bug Fest 2014
This year’s bug fest was even better!
I milked a cow…
Held a chick….
fenced! Myron is in blue. Look at that form!
And had so much eooey-gooey science fun!
Pet
This winter we finally agreed on a pet – fish. We have a new tank with over 10 swimming friends. Here is a picture of our fish named Myron (and slurpy in the background). As it turned out, Myron fish is a girls so after a few batches of fry we now call her Captain.
Best Buddy Sleep Over
Myron’s Best Friend this year is Dominic. He came over for a sleepover and both boys had a blast!
They were chemists…
seed planters…
and electricians.
The activity they enjoyed the most, was making things explode in the bath tub – awesome!
Dominic left a little note “I love Myron. He is the best friend. I love you” – so sweet.
