The BIG Move

As most of you know, we made the big move to Indiana.  I am sorry to everyone we didn’t get to say goodbye to but the last few weeks proved to be challenging. We’ll be back soon and will pass around the hugs then.

The big move started with a huge semi truck!  They made me an honorary mover (I guess the rookies are always in red).

They packed up our home in no time and then we got to play in an empty house – it was awesome!

Then we hopped on a plane (or rather clumsily moved with our 12 bags through the airport and cried when we had to leave Jenna, Carline, and Lucy).

The pilot seems to know this was a special flight for me and let me play in the cockpit for a long time!  I must have pushed 20 buttons and pulled all the levers!

Then we got to play in another empty house!  I don’t know why Mama says moving is stressful… I think it is fun!

Then the big rig came to our home in Indiana and they brought all my toys!

So far, the best part of Indiana – bike riding!  Mama said I can ride my bike as much as I want in the driveway.  And I have everyday since our arrival!

Prickly Pear

My first prickly pear (cactus fruit).  We found two on our walk to Trader Joes, one with prickles and one without!  I wasn’t brave enough to eat them but I enjoyed cutting them open.

Carmel

Jenna, Jon, Caroline and Lucy shared a family beach home in Carmel with us this weekend – it was amazing!

Between beach runs, rock climbing, kite flying, baths and great friends – this place had it all!

Space Shuttle

Today we saw a space shuttle!  It was on top of a 747 on it’s way to a museum in LA.  This is it’s last flight.

(And yes, that is my son in pig tails – he wanted ‘fancy’ hair today)

Papa and Grandma

Papa and Grandma are in CA

and I love it! I introduced Papa to green food… and crazy long straws… no really… I mean crazy long straws.

Grandma tried her first wine tasting.

And I picked out new ‘fast’ shoes.

They are really fast!

We ended out time together with a birthday wish for all the birthday’s we’ve missed this year.

Being Born

Myron: “Mama tell you about how I was born”

Mama: “Okay, it was a cold winter day in Wisconsin…” (I started our routine story about the day he was born)

Myron: “No not that story… Did they cut me out and sew you back up or did you push me out?”

Mama: (Pause… minor internal freak-out) “I pushed you out honey”

Myron: “oh, okay”

Airplane Play

Myron: “This is the Mama Airplane… and she’s the baby airplane”

Myron: “Time for baby to nurse” (and moves the baby airplane under the mama airplanes wing)
